Artist's comments stamp by Shutsumon Artist's comments stamp by Shutsumon
Because if someone wrote something about their work it's there for a reason...

This is the first time I've made a stamp so I hope it's ok. It was hard working so small.

(edit) I am gobsmacked. I knew this stamp was popular but I never realised until earlier that it was in the top 20 most popular stamps ever on dA. *faints*. That is so cool.

(whine) It's a little sad that this is my most popular deviation by such a large margin though. I wish people would look at my other stuff even though I know I'm not very good. (/whine)

I try to read the comments. Sometimes when they're the length of a dictionary, it's a bit hard slogged though. :D

Yes I do, because rarely do I get comments of any sort, so yes I do read and respond.

Hell to the Yes.

In fact, I often hold off on looking at (let alone favoriting) pictures if I can't get into the right mindset to read and comment on an artist comment.  So many things pile up that way...

It'd be so hypocritical of you would write in description something like "comment if you fave" and then you would still get faves here yet not so many comments :P

It's very annoying when people do not bother to read the comments, aka art description. They ask me questions that they could have found the answers by reading the comments. Do these people can't take a minute or so to read? Talk about lazy.

I also found it annoying that when I submit an art to a group and place the art in the right folder, an administrator declines it due to thinking it's in the wrong folder by just looking at the art alone. If the administrator just take the time to read the comments, he/she can find out easily the characters are not OCs, etc. Like I understand they have dozens of art to approve, but it does not hurt to take just one minute to read the comments to find out where the art should belong in the gallery. I do that all the time when I see someone submit an art to a group I'm administrating, for by reading the comments I can find out who are the characters, etc. Save me headaches.

The thing is, if the artist has a long comment, and I read something like "i messed up the foot" (etc) I'll go up and look and then i lose my place. o.o

I read the artist's comments all the time, regardless of the length. In my opinion, info about the work is just as important as the art itself.

yes, yes indeed.
I dont feel right if not reading their comments.
Thats the first thing I do when opening their art's page.

the long ones takes me times to read but if my brain procrastinating, then I might have to read it next time.

this stamp is lovely, thank you so much for making this.

if it's no half novel! xD
it's interesting to know how the drawing emerged but i don't like to read things that have nothing to do with it.
i wish artists would be more precise and clear, or write the important things in bold.

I always read the comment, If the artist takes the time to write it, then I take the time to read it. Sometimes if they don't write anything I feel like I am missing out on that aspect of the artwork, or that I don't get to see into the artists thoughts about the work. :) Great stamp, I can see why its so popular!
